This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and what we will never do with it.What we collectWe only collect what we need to make Psst work for you:Account information — your name and email address when you create an account.
Contacts you add — names, nicknames, relationship types, birthdays, and any notes you write about the people in your life. You choose what to enter; we never read your phone's contacts without your explicit permission.
Messages you paste — the incoming messages you share with Psst to generate replies. These are processed in real time and used only to produce your reply.
Occasions — birthdays, anniversaries, and other dates you add manually.
Style preferences — your answers to the onboarding quiz about how you text.
Usage data — how many replies you have generated, so we can enforce plan limits fairly.
How we use your dataYour data is used for one purpose: making Psst work well for you.Messages you paste are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate reply suggestions. Anthropic processes this data under their own privacy policy and does not use your messages to train their models.
Contact details and style preferences are used to personalise the replies Psst generates for you.
Your email is used to authenticate your account and, if you opt in, to send occasional product updates.
Usage counts are used to manage your subscription tier and enforce fair usage limits.
What we will never doSell your personal data to anyone, ever.
Share your contacts, messages, or relationship details with third parties for advertising.
Use your messages or relationship data to train machine learning models.
Read your device's contacts without first asking for your explicit permission — and only when you tap "Import."
Data storage and securityYour data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted infrastructure provider. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to your account only — no Psst employee can read your contacts or messages without your explicit consent.Third-party servicesPsst uses a small number of carefully chosen third-party services to operate:Anthropic (Claude API) — processes messages you paste to generate replies. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing.
Supabase — secure database and authentication hosting.
Apple — manages payments and app distribution through the App Store.
We do not use advertising SDKs or analytics trackers.Your rightsYou are in control of your data at all times.You can delete individual contacts, occasions, and saved replies at any time within the app.
You can delete all of your data from the Me tab under Privacy → Delete all my data.
You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by sending us a message through the contact form in the app.
Children's privacyPsst is not intended for anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.Changes to this policyIf we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you within the app before the changes take effect.
